Shoes can be cheap. Dirt cheap, in fact, as long as you know where to purchase them. These cheap shoes are so common they're not very hard to find. You can just drop by a local bargains store and make your pick.

But aside from the leather and the good marketing, what makes a pair of shoes extra expensive is the amount of precious stones that fit the footwear. Put in rubies, diamonds, sapphires, and similar other precious stones and you will get a pair of shoes that is worth millions. Will anyone actually pay this amount for shoes? Fortunately or unfortunately, there are. It's the height of extravagance.
